Coin pools

Keep any Solana coin’s face for good. Lighthouse calls these custom pools; here they are aimed at the files coins lose.

A coin’s name lives on Solana. Its picture usually does not: the metadata points to a file on IPFS or someone’s server, and it stays only while someone keeps paying to host it. Paste a mint and Deed reads where the coin’s face lives, what it weighs and what keeping it forever costs.

What is read

  1. The mint account: Token-2022 coins keep name, ticker and URI in the mint itself; SPL coins in their Metaplex metadata account.
  2. The metadata JSON at that URI (up to 256 KB), then the picture it names (up to 12 MB).
  3. Both files are fetched, measured and addressed by CID.

When a host fails

If the URL names an IPFS CID and its own host refuses (rate limits are common), the same CID is read through other public gateways (Filebase, 4everland, ipfs.io, Pinata) and the page says so. When the bytes come back, their CID is checked against the one the URL names.

Try it on the home page or in Keep a coin. Keeping opens at launch.

Connect a wallet

No Solana wallet in this browser. Get one, then come back: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack.
